It is that time of year again for everyone to think about sending in nominations to the Kansas Chapter of American Public Works Association for Project of the Year Awards, George Williams Award for Excellence in Public Works, Excellence in Field Supervision, and Excellence in Public Works Program Operations. Nominations packets are available on the website (see link below).
Nominations are due to Gary Baugher by January 7, 2010. The nomination packet should include the nomination form and supporting documentation (seven copies for Project of the Year Awards and six copies for Excellence Awards), and up to fifteen electronic photos of your project on CD (Project of the Year Awards only). The electronic photos will be used in an awards presentation to be held in conjunction with the spring conference in May, in Hays.
Winners will be selected by the Review Committee and approved by the Chapter Board of Directors. The chapter winners will then be forwarded to the National American Public Works Association competition on behalf of the selected winners.
